Carter and Ripperger research featured in Popular Science, Ohio State News, and NPR
EEOB assistant professor, Gerald Carter, and his postdoctoral fellow, Simon Ripperger, offer a rare glimpse into wild vampire bats’ friendship-like behaviors and new insights into how social structures form. This type of cooperation in vampire bats is rare: individuals pay a cost to help others. The researchers were interviewed by NPR and also featured in Ohio State News and Popular Science.
