  • B.Sc. Agricultural Sciences, University of Reggio Calabria (Italy) (2011)

I’m a molecular ecologist interested in insect-microorganisms and plant-microorganism interaction. I received both my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences studying at University of Reggio Calabria (Italy), and a Ph.D. in Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences from University of Palermo (Italy). In 2017 I joined the IFM-Biology Department at Linköping University (Sweden) as Postdoctoral Fellow to work on insect transcriptomics. Currently I'm working on the molecular mechanisms behind plant-microorganisms interactions and their effects on surrounding biological communities. I’m also interested about the role of microbial symbionts in biological invasions, and about insect-microorganisms relationship in polyphagous species.
