A.I. for Wildlife Conservation: A.I. and Humans Combating Extinction Together
We are losing the planet's biodiversity at an unprecedented rate and yet, shockingly, mostly do not even have the basic biodiversity numbers. Photographs from researchers, citizen scientists, automated cameras and collected from social media are the most abundant source of wildlife data today.
Throughout this event, Dr. Tanya Berger-Wolf will show how A.I. can turn massive collections of images into a high resolution information database about wildlife, enabling scientific inquiry, conservation and policy decisions.
