Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Undergraduate Research Lab (UResearch) Outreach

Activities

Outreach events at UResearch are part of the formal coursework. Since 2012, UResearch members have served more than 4,300 children and families exploring basic science and animal diversity. In 2014, UResearch has partnered with Columbus Metroparks and the Ohio State Planetarium to broaden its outreach programs. Our current programs consist of "Beetles under the Stars",  "Science with Beetles", and "Amazing Bugs." We also work with high school juniors and seniors to equip them with research methods, design, and data literacy skills.
