Amber started working with wild bees in 2018 in Dr. Karen Goodell’s lab on the Pumpkin Pollinator Project. This project investigated the trade off between pollinator health and pest control. She then got the opportunity to join the Goodell Lab again to work on the Ohio Bumble Bee Survey which recorded the bumble bee species richness and abundance throughout Ohio. Amber then moved to Thunder Bay Ontario to carry out her master’s thesis project investigating wild bee diversity among different habitat types. Now, she is excited to be back at Ohio State to get her PhD working with wild bees in the Goodell lab.
