Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

U-Research: Andrew Tarr

Biology/Neuroscience

tarrHi all! My name is Andrew Tarr. I am in the fifth year of my undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University. I will graduate with a B.S. in Biology and minor studies in Neuroscience. My first research experiences come from working in a Neuroscience lab where I participated in discovering the effects of chemotherapy, stress, and anxiety on the nervous system in mice. Through joining the U-Research lab, I have been able to direct my research interests toward conducting human research. The project I am working on now is lending us insight into the effects of maternal hormones on early development. I am hopeful that this new area of research will help me grow, both as a student and a professional before I apply to medical school.
