Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Welcome!

Welcome to the home page of the Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology at The Ohio State University.

Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology (EEOB) encompasses the study of animals, plants, and microbes in their relationships among themselves and their environments, and in their common ancestry. We ask questions about how nature works from individual genes to entire ecosystems and at time scales of minutes to millenia. As an organization we provide a home from which faculty, students, and staff can further their creative goals while contributing to the life of the University.
