An AI research project led by Tanya Berger-Wolf, professor of evolution, ecology and organismal biology and director of the Translational Data Analytics Institute, measures air pollution produced by car and airplane traffic. An important goal of the project is testing how to do the sophisticated computing needed for this research in the field, far from any major computer servers.
