The National Science Foundation recently committed $18 million to be spread across 10 research projects that will study Earth’s biodiversity. EEOB professor Bryan Carstens is principal investigator of one of the projects, titled “US-BIOTA-Sao Paulo: Traits as predictors of adaptive diversification along the Brazilian Dry Diagonal,” which studies habitats within one of Brazil’s drier regions.
