Daly elected President of the Society of Systematic Biologists

Meg Daly, EEOB professor and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education, was recently elected President of the Society of Systematic Biologists. The Society, founded in 1947 as the Society of Systematic Zoology before changing its name in 1971, seeks to advance the study of biological diversity and its origins. The Society administers two scientific journals, provides numerous awards for research, and hosts both stand-alone and joint scientific meetings with partner societies within North American and internationally. Daly’s term as President-Elect will begin in January 2026.
