Dave Stetson receives ASC Honors Faculty Service Award

The Honors Faculty Service Award recognizes excellence in honors advising, honors instruction, honors committee work, and other honors initiatives and responsibilities which have enhanced the quality of education available to honors students in the liberal arts. This is a high honor in the College and much deserved recognition of Dave Stetson’s many contributions to our honors program. He has contributed immensely to the education of Ohio State Honors students.

Dr. Stetson began advising Biology Honors students in 1996; counseling approximately 300-400 students per year.  Five years ago he began to share advising responsibilities for Biology Honors students and took on honors advising for two other majors, Zoology and Evolution & Ecology.  This year his current Honors advising count is 230 students.  Dave also has served on 66 Undergraduate Honors Examination Committees and has taught extensively in the Honors program.  He currently teaches two Honors classes, Biology H115 (Honors Biology I) and EEOB H415 (Principles of Cellular and Developmental Biology).

Congratulations, Dave!
