EEOB Grad Alumna awarded 2026 Remarkable Woman of the Year
EEOB graduate alumna, Naava Schottenstein, was recently awarded the 2026 Remarkable Woman of the Year-Central Ohio, sponsored by NBC4i. Naava earned a Ph.D. in 2020 from The Ohio State University, Department of Evolution, Ecology & Organismal Biology. She worked with Dr. John Hunter on her dissertation, Evolutionary and Ecological Drivers of Primate Dietary Diversity on the tempo and mode of dental evolution in the Paleogene primates of North America.
Shottenstein is currently faculty at Columbus State Community College and has founded and serves as CEO of BrainBloom Academy, which offers a variety of tutoring and STEAM++ programming to engage learners of all ages. This builds confidence and creativity, fostering "personal growth and technological proficiency, ensuring that both young learners and adults are well-equipped to thrive in a constantly evolving world."
