EEOB at NABT Professional Development Conference

November 17, 2014

From November 12th through the 15th, EEOB graduate student, Steven Nagel and undergraduate student, Adam Lehnig, attended the National Association of Biology Teacher’s (NABT) Professional Development Conference in Cleveland, OH to present posters on their current research projects. Steven and Adam both tied for second place in the undergraduate education poster contest for their posters: “Teaching and Assessing Student Awareness of Biodiversity” and “Qualitative Assessment of Mobile Technology on Student Achievement,” respectively. Additionally, they both had a chance to hobnob with Dr. Neil Shubin and Dr. Sean Carroll at the HHMI Movie Night premiere of Shubin’s new educational film, Great Transitions: The Origins of Tetrapods.

Steven Nagel is advised by EEOB Associate Professor, Roman Lanno. Lanno is also faculty advisor to Adam Lehnig.
