Jarzyna Receives NSF Grant

Marta Jarzyna

The National Science Foundation has awarded a Macrosystems Biology and NEON-Enabled Science grant to Marta Jarzyna for a project titled "Spatio-temporal scaling of avian diversity change". This project will address disparities in evidence for biodiversity change by evaluating massive databases of bird diversity collected across multiple spatial and temporal scales in North America. The project will also quantify the role that climate change has played in biodiversity change at each of the scales. Jarzyna hopes that the results from the project will inform conservation missions and assist resource management in decision-making.
