EEOB Emeritus Professor Tod Stuessy has published a book describing his many field trips to the isolated Robinson Crusoe Islands 400 miles off the coast of Chile over 40 years of field work researching the plants of the islands. "Isolated Wonder -- A Scientist in the Robison Crusoe Islands" describes the difficulties and rewards of doing research in such isolated locales and the discoveries Stuessy and his colleagues made over those years.
