An undergraduate researcher in the Adams lab, Cody Cardenas, won some awards this week at the Entomological Society of America North Central Branch meeting in Cleveland. Cody took 3rd place in the B.S./M.S. Poster: Session I for his poster Back from the dead? A re-evaluation of Trachymyrmex balboai. As well as 1st place in the NCBESA 2016 meeting Triplehorn Challenge, for the Reference Collection portion. Cody is trying to identify if an ant is a previously synonymized species (Trachymyrmex balboai) or a new species. His work is supported by the OSU URO Summer Fellowship Research Grant he was awarded in the spring.

Congratulations, Cody!
