Huayan Chen is travelling for the next 5 weeks in China. He will visit the South China Agricultural University in Guangzhou to work with the insect collection there maintained by his former advisor, Dr. Xu Zaifu. In addition, he plans to collect in Guangzhou province, and then travel to Beijing to work on mitochondrial genomics and on fossils of parasitic wasps.

Our visiting student from Brazil, Gisele de Souza da Silva, has returned to her home institution, the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Gisele did some great work with the egg parasites of stink bugs, work that we'll be wrapping up in the next couple of months.
