Intended Research: My research will focus on nutrient cycling within streams in agricultural watersheds. Around the world water is polluted from by nutrient runoff from farms and point sources. This creates destabilizing processes within ecosystems which can lead to harmful algal blooms and hypoxia. My research will examine how agricultural streams may mitigate or exacerbate the nutrient pollution in aquatic ecosystems by examining biogeochemical cycling within these systems.
