The Gibbs lab will undergo significant changes in people in the coming months.  Pending successful defenses of their theses in the near future (!), PhD students Matt Holding and Rob Denton will be leaving to take up postdoctoral positions.

Steve Hovick's Biological Invasions Course

Thirty students from Steve Hovick's Biological Invasions course (EEOB2410) were in the field at Scioto Grove metro park setting up a new long-term experiment to monitor forest recovery following invasive species removals.

Emily Katula, an undergraduate researcher in Rachelle Adams' lab, presented a poster at the Denman Forum on the antimicrobial properties of ant-derived mandibular gland compounds. This works was completed in close collaboration with Conor Hogan (graduate student).
